    Riyad –

    Thanks for your quick response.

MyEclipse provide the provision to generate EAR using IDE, does we have any command line utility to generate EAR rather than generating the EAR using IDE.

    Regards,
    Manish

    Manish,
None of our wizards have been exposed for command line use at this time, so right now you will need to step through the wizards. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Riyad, is there any hope that there will be a feature to create an ant build file any time soon?

While we aren’t opposed to the idea, the demand just isn’t there. It’s spotty at best and considering how much time it would take to do this *right* given all the deployment rules, filtering rules, etc. that we support, it is not a quick weekend’s worth of work. Also considering all the project configurations we don’t know about that will be reported as bugs after the fact, I think management has avoided this because of how much it will cost to implement when compared to how many people are asking for it.

I know that’s not the best news, but one of those business decisions. That being said, if WTP nails down their deployment model and project model for the 2.0 release and at some point we feel confident adopting their model and part of that adoption brings along with it Ant generation, it could be one of those features that just ‘shows up’ in a release at one point much to everyone’s surprise.
