I have the lastest updates for eclipse and ME. It appears the ANT Editor is not working now and throwing a null pointer exception.

    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at org.eclipse.ant.internal.ui.editor.AntEditor.dispose(AntEditor.java:1151)
    at org.eclipse.ui.internal.EditorReference.createPartHelper(EditorReference.java:622)
    at org.eclipse.ui.internal.EditorReference.createPart(EditorReference.java:372)
    at org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchPartReference.getPart(WorkbenchPartReference.java:566)

I started ME using the -clean command to ensure there is no caching issue with eclipse.

    Suggestions?

    Russ

Can you post your installation details here for me? The posting guidelines post can be found at the top of the forum.

Your installation looks good to me. Can you switch to a brand new workspace, create a new project and try working with the ANT Editor?

Okay……..I created a new workspace……. The Ant Editor is fine now. It looks like the workspace got corrupted from the last update from Eclipse plugins….. Grrrrrrrrr

    Thanks for your help…..

What would be nice is a feature which checks the integrity of the workspace so one knows immediately about a corrupt workspace.

I agree with you. This could be a very helpful feature. For the time being I’m glad the Ant Editor is working.
