    using eclipse 3.0.2 & ME 3.8.4 + QF2 on win 2000 (sp4)

    I have a very unusual problem, when I try to start up my web server (weblogic 8.1 sp3) in “debug” mode from within Eclipse it shows –

    “<Jun 28, 2005 5:07:08 PM BST> <Info> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000377> <Starting WebLogic Server with Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Version 1.4.2_04-b05 from Sun Microsystems Inc.> ”

    then just hangs, no errors whatsoever – if I start it in “run” mode it’s fine but then of course I can’t use the debugger – the only thing it does do, is to open Integer.class file?

    Any ideas? totally puzzled, no idea where the fault lies?

    thanks

    Harry,
    does the server startup in debug mode from the command line correctly? Have you configured it to run from MyEclipse with the JDK that it ships with and not a JDK that you configured independently?

    found out what the problem was thanks, poseted my finding yesterday but no idea where they’ve gone?

    Anyway for some unknown reason I had a “!NumberFormatException: caught and uncaught” in my breakpoints – no idea how it got there?

    thanks anyway & sorry for wasting your time!

    harry
