I am in the process of creating two IOS apps when I try to install both of them on my phone it will not let me have both on it. Is there a reason for that or am I doing something wrong?

Can you answer next questions to learn more about the problem?
1) What Mobione version are you using? If 2.5M1, What Cordova version is config’ed?
2) What is the model of your device? What OS is it running?
3) What is the error message that you get which specifies you can’t install both apps?
4) Do the apps have the same name?

By “not let me have both on it” is vague. But I’ll guess that the install process either hangs or fails. If this is correct a common problem is either not using an ad hoc provision profile or using an ad hock provision profile that is does not specify the device’s ID.
