app was installed properly on the phone.

i went to settings Safari and deleted cache.

opened safari and then went to the url of my app
and tried to re-download, i got the following error

Unable to cache web page for offline use
Visit Safari settings and clear cache.

i had already done that.

but anyway i went back and cleared cache again.

again when i try to download the app – i get the
same message about unable to cache.

i went into airplane mode – and it seems to be
cached properly and app working offline.

so not sure why i’m getting the error message.

this is something that would throw my customers
off.

I have opened a bug and will help research it. I’m not sure what exactly is causing the cache error dialog yet on the iOS device. I’ll follow up once I know more. Also if you identify any patterns that cause this issue to come or go please share that info.

this should be able to replicate.

1. app working ok on phone.

2. deleted cache and also the homescreen icon
(i.e. deleted app).

3. opened safari and went to url where my app
is installed (on my server).

4. it started downloading and got that error message.

but it seems to have downloaded the app – not sure
whether it’s the new download or the old copy.

but it seems to be working.

i can change the version # and see whether a new
copy is being downloading – if it helps.
