    Hi Wayne,

Been trying to get the AppCache support working and have set up the mimetype as specified text/cache-manifest on my server as I am hosting the files generated.

I notice that if I generate and you host the offline mode works fine, if I host it doesn’t is there anything else I need to set on the server?

Just waiting to get this sorted as have many plans for projects but no good without offline mode working.

    Thanks

    Phil

Thanks. I have looked at this and the ultimate solution pointed to updating the .htaccess file which is fine if running appache, unfortunately we are running IIS.

I have configured the mime type in IIS (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/cd72c0dc-c5b8-42e4-96c2-b3c656f99ead.mspx?mfr=true) but still no luck.

Anyone managed to get this working on IIS?

We are running Windows Server 2003 Microsoft-IIS/6.0

    Thanks

    Phil

    Phil,
I have avoided IIS over the years and can’t say much about mime-type configuration. I’m digging around internally here to see what I can learn from others that know more about it.

Thanks Wayne as setting mime type at server level appears to do nothing on iis
