Once again the application loader refuses to send an update to ITC and gives the usual error message, code sign, certificate etc. etc. even though exactly the same settings have been used that were used to upload the previous version. This is happening every time I try to upload to ITC but they usually go after a few re-boots and a few tries. This one refuses to budge. This issue has been going on for weeks and weeks and, as far as I know, nothing has been done to remedy the problem. I am not the only one that has reported this issue and would appreciate some feedback as to what is causing this irritating error.

    I am using version 2.3.2

We understand your frustration and have been investigating to see if we can isolate something in our app build model that is problematic. The moving parts are: 1) app binary built by mobione app center, 2) your mac/osx environment and applicationuploader version, 3) itunes connect, and 4) itune app configuration that must be setup correctly. We can only affect #1 and that is what we investigate.

When you share that with retries that you are able to upload apps the logical direction of investigation is 2-4. Also we have consulted others that work with appstore uploads from mobione on a daily basis for their experience. They have only reported occasional issues which we were able to address quickly because of detail info. Another part of this issue is that applicationloader provides almost worthless error messages and diagnostics when something goes wrong. Thus it is very time consuming process to isolate any specific issue.

So What Have We Done Recent:
We did isolate an issue recently with the 2.5M1 Cordova/PhoneGap 2.9 installation that was setting a bad property causing itunes connect to reject the app. This has been fixed but it was a very time consuming process to isolate the specific issue as apple tools provided NO informative info as to the source of the matter.

We have been looking at all of our build environments. Here’s where it gets crazy. We are able to upload all of our test apps with no issue. Our mac environment and application uploader are always the latest production versions (no betas ever).

I have shared this topic with dev team just now as they are concerned and it sucks when users get pissed at us while we try to grind through the zillion combinations of possible failure pts. Will keep you posted on what we learn.

Just chatted with kyle at http://www.applicationuploader.com. He is actively uploading apps on a daily basis and reports no issues if you build your app correctly and do the following:

    0) run the most recent version of Mac OSX
    – keep it up to date

    1) run the most recent version of the applicationloader app
    – apple updates this app frequently for a reason. Don’t waste time with any older version

    2) if you are using a hackintosh then you very likely have some issues there at the OS level.
    – my understanding is there are some config requirements that you must setup for things to work correct.

Hi Wayne and thanks for the update.

I am using all the latest software together with a new apple mac. So that covers the last 3 points. What concerns me is the maybe, maybe not, attitude of the application loader, surely if there is something wrong with the app it will be rejected, not rejected 3 times and then ok. I did actually get the app uploading last night till it got to a certain point but then it stalled for 30 minutes so I cancelled. I will try again later.

Also the ‘notify me’ box was ticked but I didn’t get a notification of your replies.

I’m experiencing this right now – Apple Uploader version 2.5. I’m getting errrors for unsupported architecture. I can’t afford to pay to upgrade my Mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7. The latest App Uploader requires 10.7. I don’t want to pay some dude with a Mac (Kyle) to upload it for me. Is there nothing that can be done?????!!

Let’s see you don’t want to fork over $20 for osx upgrade and you don’t want to pay someone else $5 who is running latest osx software to upload your app for you. And you want us to spend even more $$ investigating odd upload issues and find away around use of apple’s recommended use of applicationloader ver 2.9… is this about right?

Yes. Please spend as much funding as possible; preferably to the point of bankruptsy.

    Screw this. I’m done.

Well done. Despite your clear autism and diagnosis of psychopathy, you can still recognize sarcasm in most instances. I’m sure your doctors are very proud.

edited (support-wayne): merged from new duplicate topic

I updated everything to the latest versions (OS X 10.8.5, Uploader 2.9, Mobione 2.5M1, Cordova 2.9) and I am STILL getting this message:

ERROR ITMS-9000 “Unsupported Architectures. Your executable contains unsupported architectures ‘[12-11]’.” at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage).

    What now?

    Dev team is investigating.

    Questions:
    1) Are you using MobiOne App Center to build your this app or are you building it manually?
    – I have assumed App Center is building it but need to verify this is correct.

1a) If yes can you share a build id for the app?

    Yes. Build Id is 10981023.

    It’s happened across multiple compilations.
