I have a problem where I cannot see any of the application servers (under Preferences->MyEclipse->Application Servers) except Tomcat. That is the only I have used for a while and now when I have decided I wanted to try out WebSphere I could not find a way to enable the server in the list.

Nothing is being printed in the Eclipse log file (under my workspace metadata directory). I should also note tat I had disabled everything I didn’t need in the Eclipse Startup and Shutdown preferences page which included EASIE WebSphere and then re-enabled everything before trying to access the WebSphere preferences page under Application Servers.

Any ideas how to make the Application Servers list re-appear and not just show Tomcat.

Can you go through the posting guidelines thread at the top of the forum and post your installation details here for me.

problem solved. it seems that when I initially disabled these features a setting to hide them from the preferences dialogue was added to my eclipse workbench settings file (i.e. <workspace>\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings\org.eclipse.ui.workbench.prefs) and these settings were not removed from the file after I re-enabled them.

    thanks.
