I have been looking at MobiOne and it looks like it has great potential. I have been developing for about 18 yrs as a hobby. In looking at MobiOne, what is the recommended backend database (MySQL, Oracle, etc?????)? Also when you have a completed project what modifications are needed to port to an Ipad from a scaling and visual look prospective because I just see an Iphone emulator.

Choose the backend data service (db) implementation that works best for your situation. For example acquiring a LAMP hosting service is dirt cheap these days. As for working with different size displays see this guide: http://www.genuitec.com/mobile/docs/advancedUIDesign/advancedUIDesign.html
