    ME PRO 2014
    App Server: JBoss AS 7.1
    OS: SUSE Linux 12

First on the local machine, I make a change in the JSP’s javascript file, say, I add alert(0), even without restart the server, the browser test will display the alert window.

Now, I test the same on the remove server (such as AWS EC2 instance), the alert window does not show up. I have to restart the app server, in order to make the alert shown up. So basically, on the remote instance, for any change in the JSP, I’ll need to restart the app server.

Why so? (given all the other settings are kept the same, except one is on local and another is on the remote machine).

    Thanks to help.

    Eugene,

I’m not familiar with Amazon EC2. Since its a remote deployment, hot deploy may not work.
How are you configuring the remote server? Can you please share the screenshot of the server configuration to help us get a visual?
