    Hi, am I missing something or don’t the 2.7 RCs support the automatic update? What’s the quickest method to move from RC1 to RC2?
    Thanks/m

    The fastest way is through the Eclipse Install/Update perspective.
    Please see the FAQ on upgrading here:

    I have a machine with 2.6.1 and one with 2.7RC1. Both don’t show 2.7RC2 but 2.6.200 (even the 2.7RC1)

    I see this as well, Scott is this just a labelling mistake?

    Any update on this yet? I don’t think it’s a labeling mistake. Saw the same thing when 2.7RC1 was released if I recall correctly. I just don’t want to go throught the lengthy manual re-install for every RC…

    Its not a mistake, I explained it in another thread (But can’t find it).

    2.6.000 == 2.6
    2.6.100 == 2.7RC1
    2.6.200 == 2.7RC2

    see because of how Eclipse update works, in order for 2.7 final to be “2.7.000” the ME team is using enumerations of the 2.6 series to make sure the updates are picked up. So when 2.7 goes final and the version is changed to “2.7.000” eclispe will pick it up and update it for you.

    Alright, thanks. I’ll upgrade to 2.6.200 then 🙂
