BillCNMemberGreetings!
I see that MobiOne is up to version 2.0, but I just checked and I’m still on version 1.5.0 (20120320)!
Whenever I start up the Design Center, it automatically checks for updates, but never finds any, so I’m wondering what’s going on, since there clearly have been updates since version 1.5.0!How can I be sure I have the “latest and greatest” version of MobiOne?

support-michaelKeymasterI’m don’t recall if there were any issue upgrading from v1.x to 2.x. It has been a while since 2.0 was released. An alternative approach is to manually update to 2.3 (current version). See the download page at http://genuitec.com/mobile/download.html
Updates work fine across 2.x versions.August 27, 2013 at 4:50 pm #341899
BillCNMemberThanks, Wayne –
I’ll try manually updating, although I really would like to find out why the automatic updating doesn’t seem to be working.

BillCNMemberOne other thing: That download page you sent me the link for is for another 15-day trial. Since I’m already a registered user, will I have to re-enter my license number? If so, I don’t remember what it is!

BillCNMemberAnd – sorry to bother you – but, before I download the latest version, I need to ask whether that will have any adverse effect on my app so far. I doubt that it would, but I ask, anyhow.
Thanks,
Bill

support-octavioMemberHi Bill,
You won’t have to register again your license code.

Yes, there could be some issues. Please back up your project before updating. Some of the key changes from 1.5 to 2.0:1) .mobi file format has evolved to support more properties and features
2) some of the html code-gen has been revised, e.g., if your app includes custom generated lists they may need some tweaking.August 27, 2013 at 7:57 pm #341909
Paul_paulParticipantTo enable auto updates you need to go to ‘window>settings>software updates’ and make sure the top box is checked.

BillCNMemberThanks, I did that, and found that the box was checked. So I’m stumped. The automatic updates used to work just fine. So I’m wondering what changed.

support-octavioMemberHi Bill,
@support-wayne wrote:Note: Users of MobiOne 1.5 should download and run the 2.0 installer.
A technical glitch in MobiOne 1.5 prevents the update system from detecting and installing the 2.0 upgrade automatically.http://www.genuitec.com/support-genuitec/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3017
You need to install manually the latest Mobione version.

BillCNMemberGreetings, All!
I just upgraded successfully to Version 2.3.2.1 – everything in my app seems to be working just fine, and I like the way the new version keeps me informed of potential problems. GREAT JOB, TEAM MOBIONE!
Cheers,
Bill
