    Hi,

I am using the following MyEclipse version
    Version: 2021.5.24
    Build id: 16.0.0-20210524

I am seeking to use block comment as per Javascript and shown in attached “Javascript_keyboard_shortcuts.png”

But the “Source” support menu is not shown, see “Javascript_menus.png”

I do see the “Source” support menu when editing as Java, see “Java_menus.png”

It seems that the Javascript editor is also affected by the following

    Comments?

    Keith,

    Thank you for the screenshots.
Can you please clarify if the shortcut for block comments is not working for you? I just ran a few tests with Ctrl+Shift+/ in JavaScript files and it works fine for me. If it doesn’t work for you, then please recheck if the JS file is opened with JavaScript :: Language Server editor.
You can also recheck if there is any conflict for Ctrl+Shift+/ in the Window > Preferences > General > Keys page.

If the shortcut doesn’t work, then please share your OS and version details along with details of any third party plugins installed.

Regarding the missing menu options for JavaScript/Java, the layout has changed in the recent versions of MyEclipse based on Eclipse layout.

P.S : MyEclipse 2022 is out. Please update via Help > Check for Updates.

    Hi Swapna,

The keyboard shortcut problem was fixed by upgrading to MyEclipse 2022 🙂 Consider this issue closed.

In my case, there was a need to first uninstall the current version to then be able to install MyEclipse 2022. See attached for the support bundle of this upgrade failure.

    Keith

    Keith,

Sorry about the issue with the upgrade. Thank you for sharing the logs.
The dev team is looking into it. You can install MyEclipse 2022 alongside your existing MyEclipse installation, but if the installer is not allowing to chose a new location, then you can delete the .deliverycenter.installs file located in your user home folder and rerun the installer to install to a different location.
