For those of you having problems with your UI labels that look like the following:

You can download the following fix:
    http://www.myeclipseide.com/products/eworkbench/quickfixes/debug-label-fix_3.8Beta1.zip

NOTE: This fix is for MyEclipse 3.8 Beta 1 only.

Installation: Unzip the file to your MyEclipse install directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\MyEclipse). You may get an “Overwrite files” warning, go ahead and say “OK” or “All” to overwrite the old files with the new ones.

If you run into problems installing the patch, make sure you are trying to install it against MyEclipse 3.8 Beta 1, and that you are unzipping it inside fo the MyEclipse install directory. If you still have problems, please post to the support forums and we’ll see if we can help.

I wouldn’t mind knowing what the specific cause of this was, as I am encountering it with several other plugins.

Would one of the support techs mind posting that into here?

It seems that his is caused by a missing or mismatched property file (e.g. the code will reference a certain properties file, and we forgot to include it). So what you end up seeing is a bunch of property string place holders that didn’t get successfully replaced with the internationalized strings.

What is the build ID of the Eclipse install you are using? What about the Build ID of MyEclipse? Did you try applying the patch from this post?
