In our company we’ve been migrating to the myeclipse platform over the lastyear or so.

Four of our developers share the same key (with four licenses), which hasn’t caused any troubles up until today, probably because only three of the licenses were used up until today.

Today one of our developers received a notification that the license were being used by too many users.

In that notification there were a list of ip’s using this license. I noticed that one ip popped up twice. It turns out he was using two workspaces (we have a large amount of projects so we often split the projects in a workspace per client).

I told the developer to shut down one of his workspace because he was preventing one of the other developers to use his workspace.
This ofcourse isn’t an ideal solution and I would like our developers to be able to work with multiple concurrent workspaces if they feel the need to do so. Is there some kind of workaround we can implement for this?

    Thanks

    /Lars Hansen

    Lars,
We understand each environment is setup a little differently, please email subscriptions@genuitec.com with this post (description of your problem) and a link to this thread so they can get your team setup with a key that will allow them to work in the manner they need to. Sorry for the trouble.

I have also noticed myEclipse asks to type again the subscription values when you switch to another workspace. I don’t know if this is already fixed in the latest release, but I find it a bit boring sometimes.

This should have been fixed by the key being stored in a global file called .myeclipse.properties in your home dir, unfortunately on some setups MyEclipse cannot create this file, and then falls back to the old way of storing the subscription, and this is in each workspace.
