SKluweMemberHi there,
I was wondering, which bugzilla-server-version is mandatory for the MyEclipse-Bugzilla-RichClient.
We are running bugzilla 2.16.5, yet in the Search-Template only products appear, which do not have a bug-group assigned.
If I search the bug via bug_id it can still be found.Greetz,

Riyad KallaMemberWe developed against 2.16.7 and 2.18rc3, however this is a new tool and it will take some beating on to make it more industrial strength. We would appreciate your help in finding bugs if thre are infact some there. Can you post any exceptions you find in your <workspace dir>\.metadata\.log file pertaining to the bugzilla plugin possibly?

SKluweMemberRiyad —
I checked the log you mentioned, unfortunately there is no exception pertaining to the bugzilla-plugin.
I do however have some more piece of information regarding this matter:if I want to post a new bug, I get all products listed, which are available to my user, so you do already have the products somewhere in the plug-in.
Probably it’s just a matter of displaying them in the search-tab.Meanwhile I will upgrade to bugzilla 2.16.7. Didn’t realize I was already lagging two updates.
Anyway, I like this new plugin very much.

Greetz,
StephanHi Stephan,
The BZ plugin at the moment does not work 100% on 2.16.xx and 2.17.xx. Some features might work on these builds though . However we are working towards making the plugin function 100% across a wide range of BZ builds. A short-term solution would be to upgrade your BZ Server to the latest stable build.

SKluweMemberHi Kapil,
understood. Since we are planning to upgrade to Bugzilla 2.18, as soon as the final is out, we can still wait a while.
Until then, keep up the good work.Greetz,

SKluweMemberRe all,
I just saw the sticky note, that Bugzilla 2.16.7 is the version, which is fully supported.
I upgraded to 2.16.7, yet the missing products (all of which have corresponding groups) in the search-panel
are still an issue.
To recap on this: when filing a new bugzilla report I DO see the aforementioned products, so they have to be somewhere.Greetz,

tomlatkaMemberI have the same problem,
working with Bugzilla Version 2.16.7:
When I create a new Bug Report, all Products are correctly shown. But if I use the BugzillaSearch (after updating the search options from the server), no Products/Components/Version or Milestones are shown.Tom

tomlatkaMemberOk, I’ve read your Bugzilla Compatibility-List:
2.16.X — 5/5
2.17.X – 0/5, not currently supported.
2.18rc3 – 3/5, not fully supported. You can login, search, and add bugs, but you can’t edit or update bugs.Tom

Riyad KallaMemberTom I’ve sent your problems to the team to reevaluate what might be happening… are you using HTTPS or behind a proxy?
December 19, 2004 at 3:59 am #221529
SKluweMemberRiyad –
as for me, no https, no proxy.
Bugzilla 2.16.7,
same problem as TomGreetz,

Jerry BowmanMemberI have the same problem if I use the BugzillaSearch (after updating the search options from the server), no Products/Components/Version or Milestones are shown. I can enter in a specific bug number in the search criteria and get that bug back. But since I don’t have the Products/Components/Version or Milestones filled in, any other search fails to find anything. I am running Bugzilla 2.16.5 on a Linux box.

SKluweMemberRehi all,
just to let you know: the above mentioned problem with the bugzilla-search still persists with the MyEclipse3.8.4GA release.

Michael FlanakinMemberAre there any plans on supporting Bugzilla 2.17.x?
March 2, 2005 at 11:44 am #226030
Riyad KallaMemberflanakin,
We have to focus on the stable releases (2.16, 2.18, etc.) so there won’t be plans to support the dev releases (2.17, 2.19) unless it is very low cost to us time-wise.March 2, 2005 at 12:48 pm #226038
Michael FlanakinMemberSounds good. I don’t know much about Bugzilla and didn’t know those were dev versions. I’ll just talk to my people about upgrading to 2.18. Thanks!
