I am about to download the Cactus plugin for Eclipse and I noticed it requires another plugin to run called the WebApp plugin that sounds like it does a subset of what MyEclipse does. e.g. “Webapp Eclipse plug-in to package a WAR file containing the web application. ”

My question is – does anyone use the Cactus plug-in for Eclipse? Do I really need to download the WebApp plugin or does MyEclipse already do everything that plug-in does? I’d love to hear about experiences using Cactus and whether or not you would recommend using it.

    Thanks!

Well, I’ll weigh in and say that we’ve got it on our list to look at Cactus support, but haven’t done it yet. I would assume if packaging is what they’re looking for from the WebApp plugin then MyEclipse’s deployers should suffice nicely. However, I haven’t tried using them together myself. Anyone else?
