I am running JBOSS-4.0.0 and MyEcplise-3.0.2.
Trying to deploy a simple .war file to the deploy directory on JBOSS. However, when I go to run the JBOSS server from within MyEclipse, it gives me the following error:

org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: url file:/default/conf/jboss-service.xml could not be opened, does it exist?

I confirmed that the “jboss-service.xml” file is sitting there. Checked the permissions on it too, and they are set to “read”.
Here is the odd deal, I can run the JBOSS server from the DOS prompt and it starts up fine where I can deploy the .war and view the jsp page. Just would’nt run from within MyEclipse.

All this setup is on my local machine so no network issues.
Any ideas/help will be greatly appreciated.

Dimagh,
I believe this is a “Server name” setting issue for the JBoss connector. Name sure the name is “default” and not “Default” or “DEFAULT”, it is case sensative.

If that doesn’t work, try a clean install of JBoss, maybe something got configured wrong with the current install.
