Hi,

I am trying to add a few plugins to MyEclipse using the configuration center, I can find the ones I want, and add them to my profile and they appear under ‘My Software’ however I don’t get the ‘apply changes’ button to add them. These plugins never appear and I cannot use them. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer below queries –
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. Can you clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log , replicate the steps and copy and paste relevant portion of your .log file here
3. What are the plugins you are trying to add? I would like to confirm if you have followed this approach – expanded the node of 3rd party plugins to the child node and right click on the relevant child nodes and clicked on [add to profile]?
4. Can you please attach a screenshot of step3 which would help me get a visual. You can either [pm] or [post reply] the attachments
5. Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, have you set the proxy details under – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections?

Alternatively, you can use pulse to add the plugins. Here is what you need to do –
1. Open pulse. (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Login to pulse
3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Select “MyEclipse 8.6” from “My profiles”
5. From the right hand pane, move to the software tab
6. Add the relevant plugins
7. Click on [Apply x changes] under “Pending Changes” section and follow the wizard

No new entries were created in the log file by repeating the operation, however there are a lot of permission denied messages in there like the following:

!MESSAGE Connection to http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-stable/pulse/compositeArtifacts.xml failed on Permission denied: connect. Retry attempt 0 started
