Hi I have a strange issue. I installed MyEclipse 9 on my mac version 10.6.6 (64 bit) . I started and registered and when I first went to change a workspace and eclipse restarted I suddenly got the following message
    Security Alert: Integrity Check Error
This product did not pass the MyEclipse integrity check the security check is a prereq for launch ….
Specific error: Signature chain is not valid or is not from Genuitec. …..

I tried the reinstall but the installer tells me “The installation server could not be contacted. Please configure your proxy server in order to use the network….”

However I have no proxy , the firewire is fairly liberal, and I was able to install it once.

Any suggestions on how I can diagnose this issue? What is the server it’s trying to hit? Can i try pinging it or reaching via a browser?

    Bruce,

Please validate your installer file size and md5sum matches that mentioned below –
    MD5: 066b2a7eb92c4998ac853c9c8124c0f5
    File size: ~ 726mb

If you are behind firewall, please ensure you allow http://www.myeclipseide.com, http://www.poweredbypulse.com and http://www.genuitec.com through your firewall. Alternatively you can install using the archived update site. Download the archived update site from http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-4.html

To install using an Eclipse update site:
    1. Install Eclipse Classic 3.6.1.
    2. Edit the eclipse.ini file in the eclipse folder and change the -Xmx384m value to -Xmx512m.
    3. Start Eclipse and click Help > Install New Software > Add the downloaded archived update site:
    4. Make sure “Group items by category” is selected and select the “MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench” group.
    5. Click Next twice, accept the licenses presented and click Finish to start the installation. Restart when prompted.

    Bruce,

You used our online / custom installer to install MyEclipse and for some reason the installation appears to be incomplete/corrupted or some process corrupted the installation after use – I cannot explain this.

I can see that you are using our online installer and it has trouble connecting to our servers – one of the primary servers it needs access to is our update site at http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/helios/enterprise-stable

The easiest solution would be to use our offline installer instead. From the Download page, please choose the “Download” link in the Mac section instead of the Custom Installer – this includes all the binary components required and will not need internet access.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    boykeng,

Sorry to hear you are also facing the same issue. Please answer below queries to help us investigate this further –
    1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details > [Copy to Clipboard] and paste the same here
    2. In case your IDE does not open, what is your OS? What version of MyEclipse are you using?
    3. Could you elaborate the exact steps that results in the above issue?
    4. Attach a screenshot of the issue to help me get a visual.
    5. Are you behind firewall or proxy?

Did you try out Brian’s suggestion? Did that help?
