When I attempt to do a new project deployment via right click on project > MyEclipse > Add Remove Proj Deploy > Add the “Finish” button becomes active when I select a server, but it doesn’t do anything when clicked, though “Cancel” works. Another odd thing is that when configuring the server in the preferences window after I hit “Apply” the “Ok” button didn’t work either and I had to close out of the pref’s dialog. The changes were saved, though.

    I’m running eclipse 2.1.2 build 200311030802 on OS X 10.3.1 using jdk 1.4.1.

Oh, I also thought that editing JSP had a “preview” option to seel them WYSIWIG formatted, which I don’t see on the tags.

    Thanks!

    Matt,

Problems with the deployer at this stage are normally issues with the XML environment as configured in the JDK. Can you check your eclipse log file and see if any errors are reported? It’s located at <workbench-dir>/.metadata/.log. If I remember correctly, the Finder won’t show it by default because of the name. You’ll most likely need to use a terminal window to find it properly.

Another thing that could be causing the issue is a bad Eclipse installation. Can you please post the full configuration information that we ask for in the Posting Guidelines thread? Also, did you rigorously follow ALL the instructions for installing Eclipse on the Mac (ie. browser used to download, version of StuffIt, etc?)

Oh, I also thought that editing JSP had a “preview” option to seel them WYSIWIG formatted, which I don’t see on the tags.

The JSP preview pane is available only on Windows, at present. However in the next build for 3.0M5, it will be available on Linux and *should* be available on the Mac, but I need to check that.

Ouch, my bad. Error logs showed the problem. All works great now and I can’t wait for the next build!
