    Hi Guys,

I am having a strange error when I try to debug a plain old java object…I switch to the debug perspective and run debug as application and this is the message I get:

Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, rc = 509.
FATAL ERROR in native method: No transports initialized
    stackpointer=0xbfffed30
JVMXM004: JVM is performing abort shutdown sequence
JVMDG217: Dump Handler is Processing a Signal – Please Wait.

    Then I get a pop-up that says:
Timeout while waiting for VM to reconnect.

This same problem doesn’t happen when I try to run the application.

    Any ideas?

    My System configuration is:
    IBM Thinkpad T30
    Mandrake Linux 10
    Eclipse Version: 3.0.0
    Build id: 200405290105

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Matt,
This is really an Eclipse question and you may have more luck in the Eclipse newsgroups or mailing lists.

I’m going to close this but welcome any users that can help to reply.

(P.S.> I don’t have any ideas to help, otherwise I’d suggest them).
