Hi. I’m trying to use MyEclipse 3.8.3 and Eclipse 3.1.0 to create a hello world web app deployed through Tomcat 5. I used the manual install process to set up MyEclipse, and I don’t remember seeing any errors.

There are a few problems with my install, though. First, I don’t see the MyEclipse perspective anywhere. I can create new web projects and jsp files, etc., but I just can’t see that perspective. Now I’m trying the simple task of deploying my project (I did configure and enable Tomcat 5 in the App Servers preferences), and I don’t see any option for this.

Can someone please give me some pointers?

    thanks,
    Chris

Eclipse 3.1 is not supported at this time, please roll back (if you can) to Eclipse 3.0.1 for the best experience. We will evaluate the possiblity of a pre-release Eclipse 3.1 compatible release here shortly, sorry for any inconvenience.
