    hgschmie,

    So how can you exclude a file/folder from validation if it does not show this menu item in the context menu?

    Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Validation. Add/Edit validation rules here. Or if you have the file open, right click on the same and from menu option go to MyEclipse > Exclude from Validation.
