Please hit reply and hit “insert” and fill out the system information. One thing I would note here is that you said you “registered” and downloaded… but just registering only gives you access to the latest stable release which is for Eclipse 2.1.2 and you mentioned following the instructions about deleting the .config file which is specific to the Eclipse 3.0 release.

Have you paid for a MyEclipse subscribtion and you are installing MyEclipse 3.7RC2 on Eclipse 3.0M6 or did you just reigster and are installing MyEclipse 2.7RC2 on Eclipse 3.0M6 or something?

    Recap:
    Eclipse 2.x uses MyEclipse 2.x
    Eclipse 3.x uses MyEclipse 3.x

Hmm all sounds sane. Are you using a completely stable or are any of your libs ~x86? I’m guessing that since you are using a 3.0M build, you are also the same type of user on a 2.6 kernel with NTPL compiled into glibc 🙂

After you unzipped Eclipse, did you run it atleast once before installing MyEclipse? Can you try that. Are you installing this in your own home dir as yourself or are you trying to install it system wide?

now only if I could find a decent introduction to CORBA, any idoit can lookup syntax it’s understanding the concepts, I hate toturials/HOW-TO type things
