I am trying to install the latest updates to MyEclipse. I am at version 8.5 Build id: 8.5-20100319. When I go to the Dashboard it says there is a softare update for MyEclipse Enterprise and gives version 3.5.2. When I attempt to install the update it goes through a validation process then displays “Profile Contains Errors”. It also says “Pulse has been unable to create a plan for MyEclipse 8.5. Please check the details below to diagnose the issue.”

The message below that has three lines. The first one has an empty line with a red arrow. The other messages are:

    Software being installed: MyEclipse 8.5 (Profile) 2.0.0.00000000003 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-568960-rmb-844324 2.0.0.00000000003)
Missing requirement: MyEclipse 8.5 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000003 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-568960-rmb-844324 2.0.0.0000000003) requires 'com.genuitec.myeclipse.tcserver.feature.group [7.9.100,8.9.100)' but it could not be found

How do I get this update working?

    WGPuckett,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer couple of questions for me to get to the root cause?
    1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2. Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, have you setup proxy information here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections?
    3. How did you install ME? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic?
    4. Can you attach a screenshot of your Dashboard and also the pulse update errors? This will help me get a visual.

I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse.
    1. Open Pulse. (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer. In case you don’t have pulse, download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
    2. Login to pulse
    3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
    4. Select “MyEclipse 8.5” from “My Profiles”
    5. Right click on “MyEclipse 8.5” and click on [re-install and run]
This will update your ME 8.5 profile and pulse will fix any dependency issues.

    Best.
