HI,

Since installing MyEclipse i have lost several menu options from Eclipse include Open Type (ctrl + shft + t or navigate -> Open Type) and Search Files.

can somebody please explain how i get these options back.

That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

Also are you referring to the Navigate and Search menus in the menu bar? I cannot reproduce this locally as I have both available from the MyEclipse perspective.

Additionally, if you switch to the Java perspective, do the menu items show again?

Have you tried disabling MyEclipse and restarting to see if the menu items come back? You can do this by clicking Help > Software Updates > Manage Config, then right click on MYEclipse, and selected Disable then OK to restart. After Eclipse restarts MyEclipse is effectively “uninstalled”, so if you still do not see the menu items this may be an install issue.

Lastly you can also try using the -clean command line paremeter when starting Eclipse to see if it is a stale plugin cache issue.

Thanks – I have had a hunt around and established that everything works fine in the myEclispe perspective but not the java perspective.

I will try doing a -clean and re-installing……
