I need to change on of the user entries in the XML Catalog.

When I edit one of the User Specified Entries in the XML Catalog, changes are either lost or entries are duplicated.

Changes in the URI arelost – they seem ok at first, but press OK and then open Preferences again, and the changes are gone.

Changes to the Key causes a new entry to be added.

This is on Windows XP pro SP2, Java 1.4.2_07, Eclipse 3.1M4, MyEclipse 3.8.4.

Is there a workaround?

This is a known bug, I am not aware of a workaround at this time but will post one if I discover one. We very sorry for you to run into this annoying behavior.

If you’re really desperate, you could manually edit the xml catalog file .metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.etools.xmlcatalog\user.xmlcatalog (use forward slashes for non-Windows platforms) which is located in your eclipse workspace.
