    Hi,
We are using MyEclipse for Spring version 9.. I have searched everywhere in the interface for setting syntax highlighting in java files. I found syntax highlighting in JSP, Javascript, CSS – but not Java. A call to another myeclipse user revealed that he had a “Java” option under the main menu of the preferences dialog which I do not have. Can someone help?

    Thanks,

    damerval,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could not replicate the issue at my end.

The Java option under Window > Preferences is an Eclipse feature which is the base for MyEclipse.

Can you please switch to a new workspace and check if you see the Java option under Window > Preferences ? Attached is the screenshot for your reference.

If you still do not see the option, then I suggest you try a reinstall of MyEclipse for Spring using Pulse.

    Here are the steps –

    1. Open Pulse (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
    2. Login to Pulse, you can also login anonymously.
    3. Select “Eclipse – Helios” realm from top left hand drop-down
    4. Select “MyEclipse for Spring 9” from *My Profiles*, right click on the same and click on [re-install and run]
    5. And follow the wizard, when prompted choose to restart the IDE.

Let us know how it works for you.
