    – Message Body ——————————-

I’m trying to establish a breakpoint in a servlet and I get the following error.

    Java Breakpoint
Attempting to install a breakpoint in the type <class> that has no line number attributes. The breakpoint cannot be installed. Class files must be generated with the line number attributes.
    Reason:
    Absent Line Number Information

    Looking in “window-prefs-java-compiler-compliance and classfiles”,
all option are checked under “classfile generation”… including “add line number attributes to generated class files”.

    any ideas ?

(if it makes any difference, I’ve pointed tomcat directly to my project’s WebRoot to avoid having to synchronize… )

    – System Setup ——————————-
    Operating System and version: win2k
    Eclipse version: 3m6
    MyEclipse version: 3.7RC2
    Eclipse JDK version: 1.4.2

    undefined

This all sounds about right to me, have you right clicked on your project root and made sure that your compiler settings for the project aren’t overriding the defaults?

Also something that can’t hurt, stop Tomcat and clear out the work/Standalone directory to remove any stray files (Athough your class files wouldn’t be in there).

What is your project setup right now? (webroot, src, classes, etc?)
