    Hi all,

I’m running MyEclipse 6.5 Pulse Edition and this morning I checked for some updates, downloaded some, and restarted on the prompt to do so.

However, when I try to restart I get an error dialog that the Eclipse executable cannot find its shared libraries. I don’t see anything obvious in the configuration files and they don’t appear to have changed since it was working before the update. I ran -clean in my ini file but no change. I’ve looked on the web as well as in these forums and while a lot of people have had similar problems, none of the answers provided seem to help me. For example, one answer said that the org.eclipse.equinox.launcher… plugin was a jar file rather than a directory and so eclipse couldn’t find the dll file in it. I checked my system and the expanded directory including the dll was in place in the pulse common lib folder. There was a jar file there too, but I removed that and there was no change.

I’m currently downloading 7.0 M2 so that I can do a completely clean reinstall and for the moment I can revert to 6.0.1, but does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

    Chris

    Chris,
Can you right click on MyEclipse and select “Reinstall and Run” and check if the issue gets rectified.

    Thanks Nipun,

I did get 7.0 M2 installed and that started up ok. I’m low on HD space, so I removed the older installations and can’t follow your advice now. It’s nice to know that option is there though, and I’ll definitely give that a try the next time it happens.

    Thanks!

    Chris
