Hello,

I am trying to run MyEclipse_6.6.0_E3.3.2_Installer.exe on Windows XP SP3.

However, when I go to run the exe. I receive an error immediately.

It says:
>SetupNew\setup.cpp (135)
PAPP:
PVENDOR:
PGUID:
$

@Windows XP Service Pack 3 (2600) IE 8.0.6001.18702

When is going wrong here? I’ve cleared my registry and prefetch to no avail.

Hi djkern,

How did you install MyEclipse 6.6. Can you explain in detail about the issue so as to analyse the issue from our side? Have you tried Pulse Explorer? Also, can you tell us the system details more?

Hey Joy,

I did the all-in-one download (from http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Downloads&req=viewsdownload&sid=24). This resulted in a download file named ‘MyEclipse_6.6.0_E3.3.2_Installer.exe’. I receive the error above whenever I double-click on this file.

As for my system, I’ve had MyEclipse 6.6 and 7.5 installed on my laptop before (in that order). Yesterday, I uninstalled 7.5 and then tried to reinstall 6.6, which resulted in this problem.

My OS is: Windows XP Professional (Version 2002), Service Pack 3
My laptop is Dell with an Intell Core2 CPU U7600 with 2 GB of RAM

I haven’t tried Pulse Explorer. I’ll Google it now and take a look.
