I installed MyEclipse 4.1 on a VMWare based instance running Windows XP Profession 5.1 Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 SP2.
This machine was configured for 512MB RAM. It had insufficient install space. The installation failed (Out of Memory error) but it appeared to install the software. (The Start->programs folder is present but there is no link).
We upgraded the instance to 1.5 GB RAM and 80GB additional hard drive space. When I run the MyEclipse Uninstall program I keep getting out of memory errors. I cannot wipe the instance.
If I rerun the install program it also always fails with an out of memory error.
Any ideas what I can do to
a. Safely uninstall what is there
b. Get MyEclipse to install correctly.
the JVM I am required to use for this installation is: JSDK 1.4.2_10
Eclipse which runs correctly is version 3.1

We currently have 9 licenses of MyEclipse being used in similar environments (though not VM ware) without issues.
