I’ve done 2 years of Struts dev with OJB (ON top of 15 years of dev experiense). Been looking at the next framework/Combination of technologies: Spring, Tapestry, hibernate, etc. etc.

Came across this real opensource GEM called SOFIA at http://sourceforge.net/projects/salmon MVC, component/JSP based Has eclipse plugin. Currently integrates with Dreamweaver for the JSP visual editing. Could use anything, however. Hsa it’s own DAO or use EJB or Hibernate (or anyting else, if your write the adaptor).

Anyway, I know the community is not large for SOFIA, but I’m thoroughly impressed enough to promote it.

Integrating SOFIA with myeclipseide, with a visual JSP editor would be the cat’s meow!

PS: in no way am I related to SOFIA or Salmon LLC (the company that developed/released SOFIA).
