Hi folks,

Back to eclipse 3.1.2 and EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1.1GA_E3.1.bin everything works fine.
But trying to design a JSF-Form visually I found out, that there are no Design, Design/Source and Preview buttons at all in the MyEclipse JSP-Designer.
Please don’t tell me, that this feature is not available under linux, because I’ll cancel my description emediatly if this is the case.
There are many professional and free of charge Visual Designers available for linux (sun’s java studio creator for example).

Can’t wait to get your feedback 🙂

For MyEclipse 4.1.1 and previous releases the designer was infact Windows-only. That decision was made almost a year prior when 96% of our user base was on Windows. Unfortunately we realized quite quickly that our Linux and Mac user base was growing quite quickly so we abandonded the Windows-only designer and in the MyEclipse 5.0 release will be introducing our new cross platform JSP designer. We will be releasing MyEclipse 5.0 Milestone 2 in the next few days, if you had a chance to download and test the designer we would appreciate any feedback you could provide.

The new cross-platform Visual Web Designer will be HTML only for MyEclipse 5.0 Milestone2. In the next release, we will be bringing in the new cross platform JSP Designer.

I’m very happy to hear a cross-plaform designer will enable Linux developers to ablilty to use this feature.
