I tried to install MyEclipse separately from the “FullStack” and I was having problems so I downloaded the Full Stack. For either of the installs, I get the same result. I have an InstallAnywhere window that says “Please select another location to extract the installer to”. I have a “Choose” button and a Cancel button. I select a location using the Choose button but then there is nothing else I can do but Cancel.
What is going on here? I just updated my subscription and realized that I needed to up my version. Now I am screwed because I can’t use the product at all.
Are you trying to run the setup from a network drive or a CD ? Copy the installer on a local drive and try running it. Let me know if the problem persists.
I am simply trying to run it from my desktop. I tried moving it to another location (C:\Temp) and have the same problem. I found this thread, http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-13825.html. Is it possible I have downloaded two bad files? Should I try another?
Shouldn’t happen twice.We have just release MyEclipse 5.5 GA. I suggest you download that and try installing it. Here is the link :-
