Once I deploy web projects to Tomcat and all the external jar files are not deployed to WEB-INF/lib directory. This happens to both deploy types of “Exploded Archive” and “Package Archive”

Open your project properties, go down to MyEclipse-web and then the deployment tab. There you should be able to configure how the deploiyment tool honors dependencies in the build path.
