    Hello there,

    I have a problem downloading the myEclipse program.
    I am in France. I have tried downloading version 4.1 in EXE format (Windows) and in ZIP format (Manual install). Both times, the file transfer goes correctly, I receive the file fast, but then when I try to run it (EXE) or open it (ZIP) I get a message telling me the file is corrupted??

    I download & install software every day and I’ve even tried from different sites… what’s going on ?

    I’m using FireFox to download the files….

    Thanks,
    Raphael

    Raphael,
    Sorry to hear you are having a problem. Are you behind a proxy by chance? We’ve had users behind proxies report problems before as well, their proxy was caching incomplete copies of the files and sending those to them instead of the full copies.

    How big are the files you are downloading? (the EXE and the ZIP)?

    Can you try using another browser? Are you using a download accelerator?

    Hi there,
    Actually I realized that the file is being cut off after a certain time. The file sizes are as follow :
    EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1GA_E3.1.exe => 128 539 860 bytes
    ….Manual install.zip => 97 276 880 bytes
    I reckon the files aren’t complete.
    I have tried at a customer’s who don’t have a proxy, and at our offices we have a satellite connection which does have a proxy. How can I get the files ? Do you have a mirror, or can you drop them onto some repository somewhere I can pick them up via FTP ?
    Thanks,
    Raphael

    OK I got it to work.
    I used Opera and at 30% the download was cut off. So I right-clicked, “Resume” and the rest came in fine… Strange, I’ve never had that problem downloading anything else…?

    Raphael,
    Glad you got it working, that does seem strange.
