My IvyDe plugin quit working. Not really sure what happened. The eclipse plugin and features directory still show the ivyde plugin but it doesn’t show up in the plugin list that comes up with the plug-in Details and IVY also no longer shows up in Windows – Preferences.

Any ideas?? I’ve tried reinstalling to no avail, using a different workspace, etc.
    thanks,

    Kurt

I didnt noticed that Ivy+IvyDE are part of MyEclipse …

Have you posted that to Ivy’s user list? I am sure Xavier wants to know that 😉

    Kurt,

As pointed out, IvyDE isn’t part of MyEclipse but I’d suggest you restart with the -clean option one time to rebuild the plugin cache: eclipse.exe -clean …rest of args…

That should fix it if a quick fix is available.

Yea, I realize IvyDe isn’t part of MyEclipse, but with the whole Apache Incubator transition going on, the Jayasoft site isn’t at all helpful anymore, and I know you folks can be real helpful.

I tried the -clean parameter and it didn’t help. Is there some way to debug why a plugin isn’t loading??

    thanks!

The only other thing I can think of is checking your log file (<workspace dir>\.metadata\.log) for exceptions on startup, that may help pinpoint why it’s barfing.

I already tried that. It isn’t writing anything to the .log file

I’m trying to play with the -debug options using a .options file hoping I can get something to spew out to the console that might give a clue to what is going on. You have any specifics on what I should add to my .options file?

    Or any other suggestions??

    thanks!

    Sorry no ideas there.

I figured it out. IvyDe was disabled in the software updates, manage configuration.

Not sure how this happened, but the only thing I can think of that may have done something to mess it up was entering the license key. I originally installed ivyDE with the trial subscription and the only real change I made before it quit working was updating myEclipse with my subscription key.

    thanks!
