Hi,
I tried to use ME (manual install zip) on SuSE 10.3 togehter with eclipse europa. When I install eclipse europa all things seem to normal. According to the instalation procedure described in the manual install, I installed the ME package and used the “add extension location” to add myeclipse to europa. After the restart the the workbench appears and then crashes down without any message.
In the logfile in the workspace there is the last message that there are no myeclipseide.properties. Maybe that is the problem. But I have no ideea whats wrong. If I deinstall ME, then all seems to be fine. After installing ME the problem is back. I use the java 1.6.0…..
Does anyone have any idea?

Are you sure you are launching MyEclipse/Eclipse with the JDK 1.6? Open up the command shell where you open MyEclipse from and type
java -versionIf you could post what that command returns to the forums.
Also there should be a hs_errXXX.log file in the same directory as your eclipse executable. This should be the error log that was captured when the jvm shutdown. If you find it, could you post the details of that here?
