I had Eclipse 3.2.1 already installed on my system. I also installed Maven plugin for my project. It was working fine such that I was able to right click on project and file nodes and see the full menu including Maven menu options.
Then in order to add JSF capability to the project, I installed the MyEclipse Workbench 5.1 as an extension Eclipse 3.2.1. Though the installation was successful, it caused problem to Eclipse IDE that it’s not bringing up the full menu (not even MyEclipse menu options) when I right click on any of the nodes (project or file node).
MyEclipse options are available from the Top Menu and able to work with MyEclipse features using Top Menu.

If I uninstall MyEclipse, all the right click menu options becomes available again.

Hoping some one must have faced this problem. So please suggest what could be wrong.

    Thanks

We are sorry you ran into this, this is the result of a stupid packaging mistake on our part. The problem is, after you install MyEclipse, go to Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration, then disable the WST and JST plugins from your Eclipse/WTP install. They are conflicting with the customized ones from MyEclipse that support our new validation exclusion mechanism, but we forgot to bump the versions on our copies, so the platform is still loading the *other* copies of the plugins and killing the context and validation menus.

Thanks Riyad for the feedback and solution.
I did what you suggested and it’s working fine.
Just one clarification though, JST needs to be disabled before WST. If you try to disable WST first Eclipse will throw an error and won’t let you disable it. So disable JST first and then WST to fix this problem.

Thanks for the heads up on the JST/WST ordering, I wasn’t aware of this. Glad it’s working now.

Thanks to all. I had similar matters, inlcuding proxy connection faults, then I did what suggested and now all it’s working fine.
