    Hi,
    I’m trying to install manually.
I run Eclipse 3.1.1 for 86_64, but installing MyEclipse with the menu :
Help > Software Upadtes > Find and Install
but I get the message “location doesn’t contains an update …”
Well, it’s all in the good directory “eclipse” under my user home, I’ve got unix rights over this dir and the files in it …
    What is wrong ?

There are two other questions I ask myself :

1°) Does MyEclipse rely on Eclipse JDT or Eclipse SDK ?

2°) I’m not running as root, but as far as my JRE has access to the /proc susbsystem, any java program should work fine.

MyEclipse requires Eclipse SDK 3.1.0 or 3.1.1

You should be able to run MyEclipse as a normal user. Do you have MyEclipse and Eclipse installed in your home directory or in a system (root owned directory)?
