Hello!
I have installed – and have successfully run – iReport on this system. All of the iReport materials, the plugin, the libraries.. it’s all in place and the standalone version works perfectly.
However, when I select the menuitem Window->Run IReport – nothing happens – until finally an alert appears, “IReport is taking too long to respond”. Has anyone determined what is the disconnect between these two entities?
QUESTION: Is iReport already supposed to be ‘running’ when one wishes to summon it from MyEclipse via the ‘Run iRreport’ menuitem?
The folks on the JasperReports side of the fence suggest:
– Try to run iReport is standalone mode,
– go in the options window and enable the RMI server
– you may also need to enable port 2100 in your firewall
– Close and start iReport again,
– Restart Eclipse and see if in this way Eclipse works better.
Sadly, this does not help.
Can somebody share the secret incantations needed to be able to call up iReport from MyEclipse – assuming it is not already running?
THANKS!
Lance Drake
