I got the “signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package ” error while trying to run JUnit 4. The cause was that Eclipse was pointing to both JUnit 3.7 AND JUnit 4 jars. I removed the JUnit 3.7 jar from the project build path and it worked.

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail and paste the information here for me.

I repeated the steps I took on another machine and realized that the JUnit 3.7 jar is something that I added by copying from a lib directory that we were using for this project.

When I had eclipse add the JUnit 4 library from the Java Build Path>Libraries tab, it added just the JUnit 4 jar as it should. So you can close this item.
