My standard subscription expired so I purchased a pro subscription last night. When trying to apply the subscription username and code, myeclipse reports that this subscription code has expired showing the expiration date of my old standard subscription.

I read through the email and understand the part that reads:

    4. MyEclipse 3.8.4 and earlier versions do not properly recognize the MyEclipse 4.X Pro subscription codes. When a Pro subscription code is entered into one of these versions you will may receive a “Subscription code expired” error message. If you experience such problems please upgrade to MyEclipse 3.8.5 or greater to use your new Pro subscription code.

Also, the info in the update dialog after filling in the new license code shows:

    Subscriber: mp112849
    Product ID: E3MP
    License version: 3.0
    Number of licenses: 1
    Full Maintenance Included
    Subscription expiration date (YYYYMMDD): 20070831

…so the new date is correct

However, I have Version: 3.9.210, Build id: 20050627-4.0-Milestone-2, so I think that the upgrade should have worked.

    Please advise solution asap.

    Thanks,
    Mark

In the update dialog, I failed to notice the following information:

    Subscriber: mp112849
    Product ID: E3MP
    License version: 3.0
    Number of licenses: 1
    Full Maintenance Included
    Subscription expiration date (YYYYMMDD): 20070831

I’m not sure what the license version means, but the expiration date clearly shows a new expiration date of Aug 31, 2007, so this surely should have worked.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue. However, version 3.9.210 is a milestone build for the 4.0GA release and is currently unsupported since it was a milestone build. If you want to continue running on Eclipse 3.1 then you’ll need to install MyEclipse 4.1.1GA. If you’d like to upgrade to MyEclipse 5.0, you’ll need to install Eclipse 3.2 first, then 5.0GA so that it uses the new Eclipse instance.
