To simplify the manual deployment using the WebSphere Console, I use the extended ear configuration with a deployment plan (deployment.xml). In that deployment plan you can configure the path to the application binary. By default WebSphere uses the cellname for that. We want to use a different name.
If we do so, WebSphere install the application in the desired path, but ME-IDE redeploys the exploded application to the configured cellname.
Is there an option to configure a different application binary path in the WebSphere configuration?
    Hope you understand

    Lutz,
What you likely want to do is remove the “WebSphere” specific deployment, and re-create a new exploded deployment of type “Custom Location”, then place that wherever you like.

    Thank you very much,
it works. But I had to use the “Custom location suffixed” deployment.
