I love the fact that there is now a code formatter for all types of XML but I can’t seem to figure out how to set the Tab/Indent Size . . .

I have set the preference to not insert Tabs but I would sure like to change the default 4 spaces that the formatter inserts for an indent. If there is not a gui pref setting for this is it possible to specify by hand in a prefs.ini until it makes it to the prefs pages (or is it simply not implemented at all)?

You can set that at Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Editors > Common Editor Preferences > Displayed tab width

That preference only seems to effect the display of actual tabs. I choose to insert spaces rather than tabs for indent. Whenever I ctrl-shift-f to format an XML file the formatter always inserts 4 spaces for every indent.

Is there any update on this? I hate hard tabs, but I’d really like to be able to set the indent level for XML/HTML/JSP files to 2.

Note that the steps to set the general indents have changed. Now it requires Window / Preferences / General / Editors / Text editors.

That’s kinda hard to find (esp since I was looking all over the JSP related preferences, since that’s what I wanted to change). Maybe a few more cross links (like the [nice] existing ones from JSP to HTML and Javascript source)?
