Hello
Is it possible to compaire
– the edited file in the codemix editor that has not already been saved
– with the original file on disk (and that will be overwritten if the editor is saved).
Use : sometimes it is not clear anymore what was changed, and it can be safe to compare the difference before saving

An interesting request, but it would appear that the compare editor works only with the saved version of the file. What you can do is, save the file, and then use the Compare With > Local History context menu option to compare with the previously saved version of the file. You can control how Local History works with the settings on the Preferences > Workspace > Local History page.
