content assist not working myeclipse 6.6

    Hey

    I haven’t done any upgrades or changes in settings, the content assist just stop working.
    I found a reference in the web – http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-printview-t-23519-start-0.html, trying to take the same steps but nothing is working!

    I am trying to open a web project (I have done it more then few times, without any problem!!!), the weird thing is when I declare a main class the content assist does work!

    Natalie,

    You are on a very old version of ME. Is there a reason you haven’t upgraded/installed the newer version? I would recommend you install the latest ME 8.0. You can open your existing workspace with the new ME. If you don’t wish to upgrade, can you please elaborate on the steps taken where the content assist is not working?
    Have you tried to click on [Restore Defaults] on Window > Preferences? Did that help? Can you try to open MyEclipse IDE using -clean command line argument as mentioned here – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/
    If the above also doesn’t help. can you open your log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log and look for any relevant issues logged? If yes, can you copy and paste the same here?
