I am using my eclipse 3.8.2 and the latest updates for eclipse. I consistantly have problems copying and pasting to and from jsp files. I highlight and copy, but the pastes either don’t work or only the first line will be pasted. I can open up an external editor and it will paste fine. In fact if I then copy from this editor, it will then paste back into a jsp in the ide, most of the time. It has become quite annoying. Almost to the point of not useable. I have a project to rewrite some all jsps that have lots of embedded code by moving the java code out to classes. This is very frustrating. I believe that I am seeing memory corruption, because it will eventually hang or corrupt the editor window of the jsp. My solution is to down eclipse and restart. Any help?
Can you od me a favor and open up your Eclispe log file (workspace dir)\.metadata\.log, and then do some copy-pasting and see if new exceptions are written to the file… what are they?
Also what version of Eclipse are you using? Eclipse 3.0, 3.0.1 or 3.1?
Getting the same behavior running 3.8.2 on Eclipse 3.0.0 will try to get you a good log of it happening
